"Luke on Management"
Bruno will share some of his findings about what the Gospel of Luke says about management theory and practice. His research has looked at key management parables in Luke (e.g., shrewd manager, ten pounds), the kingdom of God passages, and the value in understanding biblical references to "house" as referring to organizations that provide goods and services to society.
Bruno Dyck, Management and Organization Theorist

Speaker Bio: Bruno is a management and organization theorist who joined the Asper School of Business, Unviersity of Manitoba, in 1990. He earned his Ph.D. in Business from the University of Alberta. He has co-authored a Management textbook that contrasts and compares 1) Mainstream management, where management is all about maximizing the financial well-being of a firm for its shareholders, versus 2) Multistream management, where management is about balancing multiple forms of well-being (financial, social, ecological, spiritual, physical) for multiple stakeholders (owners, employees, customers, suppliers, competitors, neighbors, future generations). He is currently working on a multi-year project on "Luke on Management."
