Definition of Kiros
Kiros is pronounced with a hard "I" and a hard
"O" (ki-ros).
Our name, Kiros, comes from the Greek word "kairos",
one of two Greek words for "time". One is chronos, which is time
in general; the "time in which anything is done." The other word,
kairos, is the strategic or "right time; the opportune point of
time at which something should be done." A window of opportunity
would be kairos time. Kairos time is when the Holy Spirit intercedes
on our behalf in a specific situation. Consider when you accepted
Christ as your Savior — the date it happened is chronos time but
the timing of the event is kairos time.
Kiros is God's time.
Therefore... with Kiros we are seizing
the "window of opportunity" with a "well-timed" alliance of men
and women "To Connect, Encourage, and Equip Christian business people
in the marketplace." |
